I can’t believe I just spent $150 on plumbing parts

I think I decided to go with this for my rockwork

My in laws have been here since last Thursday so things slowed a bit. I’m finishing filling it up today and purchased an Apex EL to replace my Apex Jr.

Hopefully I’ll get to play with this tomorrow!

I was also lucky enough to win the $400 prize at the last meeting to Aquarium Specialty so I ordered a Hanna nitrate, alk, and phosphorus checkers, calcium reagents for my Red Sea kit, extra alk and nitrate reagents, and three kamoer x1 Bluetooth dosers.


EDIT: I put the order in at 11:33 this morning and already have confirmation that everything but the dosers (on back order) are going out today! Thanks Aquarium Specialty!

We’ll I had my plumbing all glued and I glued something wrong of course. Then I got covid so I couldn’t go to home depot to get new parts for a few weeks. Finally got a negative test so I got my new parts and reglued the plumbing. I’m going to secure it and finish everything this weekend and make up the remaining water for the tank. Hopefully next weekend I’ll transfer everything over.

I think everything is good! I had a few leaks in my bulkheads and somehow I was missing two o-rings from unions but after 2 more trips to Home Depot, the tank is plumbed and running. I have a few more things to hook up and move livestock and I’ll be in business. I’ve been running the lights the last few weeks and noticed some diatoms growing. The tanks been cycling since just before Christmas.

Second round of corals moved over last night. Everything is looking happy so far. Waiting to move my anemones and fish last.

everything moved is looking good even some acans that I thought were dead are already puffing up a bit. The only things left in my nano are my clowns, flame angel, porcaline crab, two rainbow bubbly tip anemones and chalice colony.
I plan on moving the rest tomorrow so I can shut down the old tank.

I stopped by a few weeks ago when he said he had them in stock and they didn't have any. I'm going to call around this afternoon when I'm finished with work.

Got my CUC from Reef Cleaners and I've got to say they dropped the ball. I ordered a package with hermits and didn't receive any hermits It seems like half the astraea snails are dead, the water was pretty murky and stunk bad. I still can't believe they didn't include the hermits
