The tank is approximately 2 months old and yes im starting to get some algae. I picked up 5 or so each of the blue legged crabs, red legged crabs, margarita snails and turbo snails from JennM at the coral expo on 5/5 and picked up 1 cleaner shrimp about a week ago.

Unless you have specific problems that need addressed, I think everyone's CUCs are different. I bought a pre-built crew from ReefCleaners.org, but bought half the size I needed. He sends HUGE crews.

Another GREAT site for cleaners...

Edit: But I like to refill my original crew from LFS...

In my 210, I have 2 tuxedo urchins, about 15 turbos, around 12 astreas and a handful of scarlet leg hermits.

I am not a fan of blueleg hermits. I have witnessed them eating coral more time than one.

Edit: I think the best asset to my clean up crew is a big reactor full of GFO and 2 40w UV sterilizers

blue legs? I prefer them as they tend not to kill each other over their shells. Scarlets, emeralds, and whites due. I have observed them due this a lot. As far as eating coral haven't seen any due it 15 years.

I see my blue legs on my corals but assume they are just picking food/stuff off of them!! in fact.. My mostor blue leg has been on my LOTR frag all day!!!!!!!

For my 120g i have 25 hermits, 25 snails, and 1 emerald. I think my tank could use more but i like to spend my money else where! Also my diamond goby keeps my sand clean so that helps alot too.

My 90 has the reefcleaners.org cleaner crew for my size. They sent me way more than they said because I did have some die off, but most still live and clean my tank fine. I also bought 2 large turbo snails and 10 blue legs. The **** hermits did eat a lot of my cerith snails. I would say pass on the hermits because they eat your snails for their shells. I also got an emerald crab but he loves to yank food out of my duncans and hammer after I feed my LPS. I am really not a fan of crabs.

Reefs2go has 100 blue leg for $20 right now. Oh, avoid pep shrimp from them, they tend to like certain lps.

My blue legs fought constantly</em>. I'll never have another one. Totally ruined what was otherwise a calm, peaceful scene.
