System specs: 93g display, 24g sump, 12g fuge. I have another 50-60 lbs of LR for my system.....but I'm lovin' the appearance, room, and sandbed of only having 80-90 lbs in the display. I'm still going to add several more of my large chunks to the display as support for my main stack, but I don't think I'm adding all of it. Is there any disadvantage to throwing the rest into the sump and refugium. I'd love to still have the advantage of all that rock without having to look at it all the time:D

Sounds like a great plan! I like to see lots of clean sand bed myself

With my lighting now the sandbed is probably good enough for most any SPS (have digitatas, scrolls, spongades, few stags, and a few birdsnest sitting on the sand for the past month while I prepared to do my aquascape and they have had tremendous growth). I gotta borrow a PAR meter to make sure. I've always PACKED my tanks with LR and it's a little refreshing to have room to work. Blowing the rock off in my previous systems was basically impossible and I always ran with minor nitrates due to it. Nice if you see something at a LFS you gotta have and then have room once you get it home:lol2:

You can throw it in the sump .Im throwing 200lbs in mine .
