WOW! Hope all are OK. Bright side: pH dropping from more CO2>O2 will not be a problem. :)

Did this hit your tank? I hope not but I seem to see a couple of buckets that appear to be filled with sand or rock.

Wow! Sorry, that really sucks. Is that the tank on the left side of the picture? Hopefully, you're insurance will cover its replacement as well as fixing the damage.

The tree didn't directly damage the tank. est. 1992. Though the fire department taking the meter hurt a bit. The buckets have lids (top-off/exchange setup) and that insulation piles on them.

Edit: I just had structure coverage, no content insurance.

wow thats amazing.. glad you are ok at least...

though, for me, i have always wanted to live somewhere where a tree was growing through the house.. almost like a tree house, but more... permanent.. and stable lol

hope everything works out,

Reef Peeps,
It seems some "Reef Peeps" are listening. Its hard to believe there so many in one place. Most serious announcement.....I joined ARC and I'm finally ready and able to set up a new tank after 7 years. This tree fell in 2004. Hurricane Francis spawned a major swirley wirley and KO'd my tank. It really hurt my feelings. I set this berlin cube tank up in '92 w/ 10g ref in Charleston SC. I moved it to Atlanta in 2000 with no losses of a fully overstocked tank (except my beloved 8ryr old yellowtail damsel.)
Being the quintessential DIY'er, I built the house back myself. eg. DIY=I picked out every piece of lumber at HD and nailed it in place. Its been a very long journey thats finally down to a roar.
I have purchased the used bones of my setup from very nice lady named Monica. 90g tank w/stand , lights, pumps, skimmer, 20g dump sump(needs Help), reactors, chiller, O2/orp. RO/DI ,a bunch of drygoods ect..

Though I've had tank forever, I'm a definately a newbie here (acronyms galore!- AG). I'm looking forward to the knowlege, resources and enthusiasm
.....sorry got to go , a NE of Naked Archeologist is on.

Looking forward to seeing you around here often...without the tree attached! Let us know if you need any advice, etc.
