Folks

Although I promised myself I was not going to spend a chunk of money for some time on my tank, I feel like I need to get a good ATO system. The jug and the sudden change in salinity is getting old. So here is my question. I'm thinking that I want an ATO that also acts as a Kalk drip for the tank. I just got a calcium reactor which I believe is doing its job quite well. But I want to be able to still drip Kalk. I dont have a whole lot of space under my tank in the cabinet and I also have an AIO. Meaning no sump. I have an RSM 250. Please advise me as to what I can or should do.

Thanks
Sia

Which AIO do you have? I ask because I had a 14g Biocube and bought an ATO kit from autotopoff.com. The float valve fit perfectly into my 3rd chamber where the return pump was. I then just hooked it up to a Tom's aqualifter and had a 5g tupperware next to the tank.

Well first, you have to have a kalk reactor. If not then you can mix a container where you keep your top off water with kalk solution and leave your pump in there. However then you will risk your pump going bad after a while from the solution. I use a precision marine kalk reactor in between the pump and sump. Make sure you put some check valves.
