Need help and advice

Hey guys I have a problem. It appears my blue tang has ich...again I don't have a quarantine tank set up but I could set one up but it wouldn't be cycled and I really don't want to dump copper in my tank because of live rock and my anemone any advice would be much appreciated

try a combo of metro/focus at this point and insure it's eating.....other than that, it would take a QT tank....

What size is your tank?

I'd suggest a QT and cycle the water with your main display daily (50% or so). It will stabilize and since it should be temporary, it will avoid the cycle all together.

It's a 55 gallon.

I decided to just go to petco and get a 10 gallon tank kit and use water from my 55 and took the sponge out of my little aqua clear for filter and put some copper in the 10 I needed to set up a hospital tank anyways I just didn't want to do it in such a hurry but dory seems to be doing ok so all is good

Make sure the sponge doesn't have carbon. And don't transfer the sponge back to the main tank later on.

I threw the carbon out and just put the sponge in there I just use the little aquaclear for circulation anyways because I have a canister filter so it works out I guess I just hate having a sick fish
