Hi guys. I have a 150 Gallon Tank I Have not been able to take care of for years due to health issues. I would like to break it down, but I am not sure what to do with the wet rock, sand, bio balls etc. Do I just let them dry out and store if I ever need them, or are they no good after that. If so will it not smell. I am stuck with a huge tank and nothing to do with it. Suggestions please. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

If you are planning to use them in the future, I would store it wet in the plastic tote and have flow circlulating to keep it alive. You can also treat the rocks while it’s in the storage or sell it if you know the rocks are good and hopping there isn’t any unwanted pests.

If you are going to store it dry, i would clean the rocks as best as you can before letting it seat dry. Or you will have very bad time working with that rock in the future.

Sand wash and store dry.
Bio balls, can be washed and stored.
