Hi all Reefers,
I think there is something wrong with my controller, the temp. always read in the high 90 (98.x) degree but when I check the temperature in the sump with the other device its only read in the area of 78-80. Does anyone know what cause Aquacontroller to read the temperature too high and never go below 95 degree. It is the probe that need to be replaced or the unit is went bad? any advise?
thanks

Do you see the fishes sweating?

Just kidding! My understanding is that the temp probe comes calibrated. But as with any other probe, I was told that they do deteriorate over time. How long have you had it?

 I bought the unit used so I don't know how long has the unit been used. So which mean I have to buy a new probe if it deteriorate?

It may not have deteriorated at this point. But I would do a couple of things before you spend the money.

1. First check that the temperature is being pulled from the right module. I had some additional PM modules and my temperature wasn't showing up correctly until I went back into my configuration screen and correctly designated which module my temp probe was hooked up to.

2. I would call Neptune Systems. Experience tells me you will likely get a busy signal. But they're really there. It's just that they have one person supporting all of North America :-).

Thanks...

Have you checked under configuration, Probe Setup, Temp. There is a temp offset and also a calibrate button.

Thanks a bunch, I hope I do not ended up buying a new probe.

If you have any issues send me a PM. I have the same controller and it is easy to calibrate. Just need a mercury type thermometer to have a reference point
