Im going to be buying a Reefbreeders Photon 48 as soon as they become available again. (Dang Chinese New Year!)
I am wondering if anyone would change the spectrum / number of specific leds.
Is the spectrum perfect or could it use more whites or blues?
What about the extra colors?

I like how the company gives you the option for a custom layout. Just wondering if its needed?

Here is the specifics for the 48.

Edit: The exact color combination is as follows:

channel 1;
24 4500K neutral whites,
8 480nm blues,
4 660nm reds,
and 12 410-420nm violets.

Channel 2;
44 450nm royal blue,
4 480nm blue,

Channel 3;
6 480nm blue moonlights, for a total of 102 3 watt LEDs.
We put 120s on the reds and moonlights.

I have a 24. The layout of the 48 looks like two 24's side by side. If I did it over again, I would change out some of the neutral whites. I like my tanks on the blue side and that channel really washes it out.

I agree so what if I changed 4 of the whites on channel 1 for two more blue and two more purple?
So channel 1 would look like this.

20 4500K neutral whites,*
10 480nm blues,
4 660nm reds,
and 14 410-420nm violets.
