I need established fuge or reef sand with critters (bristle, spagetti, pods, etc)
Can anyone bring a cup of live sand to the meeting tonight? I had a bout with high nitrates about 6 months back and I'm pretty sure my sand is all but dead. I haven't seen a bristle worm in months, a spagetti worm--only tubes without worms, or pods.
The nitrates went through 100! I think that the little living creatures caused a snowball effect. All fish survived, but no inverts.
I have been cleaning every other week and finally restored the tank. I used to have the little clear worms all over the sand...but no more. Thanks for your help!
