Yesterday i picked up a Reef Octopus DNW150 6” Recirculating Protein Skimmer. I've mounted it externally over my sump and was feeding it with a maxi-jet1200. While rummaging around in the sump room I forgot I had a needle wheel pump from a coralife 220 skimmer. I pulled the maxijet and mounted this to feed the skimmer.
I guess the question is, does the added injection of bubbles hurt or help a recirculating skimmer. I figured the more air and water pumped in the better. I feel like i supercharged this thing :roll: its pretty milky in the chamber:up:
Its only been running since midnight last night and is foaming up pretty well.
