Ok so I have three BTAs in a tote waiting on my rocks to cycle. The problem is all the rocks they are on have nuisance anemoies on them. Does anyone know anything i can put in the tote that they will attach to so i can kill the rocks that they are on in the tote? I know i cant move them myself b/c foot damage may occurr. The rest of my rocks i killed in the sunlight for a few weeks then added them to a seperate tote to start their cycle. Its been two weeks so far and amonia has started to spike. But I dont want to add the rocks the nems are on that have the nuisance nems on them b/c that would defeat the purpose of me killing my other rocks. Ya dig. Is there anything the bta will attach too and maybe not get infested with the other type of nems? Also I have a 8 bulb nova T-5 unit over the totes. I think i can convince them to move by creating some shade once I find an alternative to live rock. Thanks Guys

Put a powerhead in there pointed at them and make them uncomfortable. They should detach and move off of the rock. Chisel works too

would simple floor tile be good to use? like place a few in there and let them attach to it and go from there? or move all the rock to one side tiles of the other and put light on the tiles rather the rocks they are currently on... they should move towards the light... (kind of defeats the purpose of "dont go towards the light" saying when you are dying lol)

When I bought my BTA he was attached to a piece of egg crate in the LFS. They had to cut the crate to get him bagged up. He let go a little while after I got him in my tank and I removed the piece of crate. The power head method works good to make them let go.

if you have steady hands, use a toothpic. just be EXTREMELY CAREFUL not to stick it all the way under. just the very tip, a few times aroudn the rim and he should get annoyed and let go. that's what someone told me and that's how i did it the only time i've ever moved my nem when he was making my mp10 nervous.
