Yes reefers, I did it........couldn't help myself. beautiful green bubble nem as big as a large mans fist. He/she hasn't strayed far.......but I know there will come a day. Has any one had any luck keeping them settled in one place? Thanks, Bubba
If you can find a small cave well not really a cave but a recess the size of thier foot they should be happy. but lighting and flow play a part too. Its really up the them but i found a spot about the size of its foot and set him on it he hasnt moved since.
Ok, you got me. I am new at this but I know the staple gun is out of the guestion. I have krazy glue gel...and aquamend but are you serious about using them. Your post was probable very funny to the rest of the group but when it comes to newbees..I'll do almost anything you experts advise. Thanks, Bubba
My bad, but I need to know what you would use to clean the areas that were in the overflow area of the skimmer. I know that fumes of some sort are not good for the fish but my oak stand got wet around the bottom and I want to be sure no smell remains to haunt me. Thanks, Bubba
Once they find the right spot they usually only move to split. If you are a newbie and your tank is too, then it may take a while. You need a stable tank with good flow and lighting, and don't forget to feed them. You can start with just giving a squirt of frozen mysis.
nems aint easy, let me know if I can help.
good luck
Purchased an established tank 6 years old now..just added the nem. Smoothie was just here and said it was looking for more light and the direction he has moved in to is to the light. We are going away for a week and I fear that he will move to a powerhead. Smoothie suggested I put him on a rock and cover him with bridal veiling till he settles in. I will probably do that when I see the spot he has found is to his liking. Thanks for the reply. Bubba
Went by there a few minutes ago. The nem is just finding it's happy place. Setup is great for one. It even went potty and re-inflated while I was there. Now for the carnivore pellets.
Oh good idea. She also has alot of bridal veil hanging around so I mentioned that to her. Not leaving til Sat night so let's hope it finds it's home before then. If not I will be tank sitting to help monitor it.
