Never ending

I seem to have a never ending diatom outbreak. My tank is 3 months old and all water parems are spot on. They wil come and last for a few weeks and then quickly die out and come right back after a few days.....I use RODI water and the filters and membrane are new. The TDS meter reads 0 on the output so the water seems to be ok. My salt of choice at the moment is Red Sea Coral Pro. Not sure what is going on here but it is making for one UGLY tank!!! What are your thoughts about what the problem could be?

How often to you change you water? It took my tank a while to get over the uglies too...

3 months is not a long time...

Give it another 3.

I change the water weekly at the moment. About 20 gallons per week. It's a 180 gallon tank.

Could have some silicates built up in the rock that release into the water feeding the diatom.

everybody gets that in a new tank, I used turbo snails,picked my rocks clean
