Ok so here are a few pictures of the new cube 24X24X25 about 62 gallons. It is a rimless cube built by Chris at Fish scales. This tank is awesome and the glass is low iron so its super clear. The stand was also done by Chris with three door for great access to every thing under the stand.

I am running my Mrc skimmer that Tim built me from MRC and also will be running the horizontal calcium reactor from him as well. My reef keeper should be able to keep everything in check on that end of things. Mag 12 as the return pump throttled down a little. Im not doing more LR than what you see, just wanted to keep it simple.

I am going to be running a lumenbright mini reflector with a radium 20k for the lights. I might be adding 2 T5's as well but Im not sure. Theres already great color from the MH. Im going to be working on the top tonight after work to see if I can get it up and running.

I have a 1/4 hoirse chiller and a few other little odd and end things going on the tank including a phosban reactor and an ATO. But here are the pictures as of today.

Chris also made the sump all custom for my skimmer. I have to give it up to Chris he did an amazing job building this tank. Almost doesnt look like there is any water in the tank its so clear.... If anyone is interested in a new custom tank give him a call. He's pretty fast and has some new ideas and great skills.

I have my livestock going back in in a few days including:
red city millie
tricolor validia
purple bosnia
30+ eye watermelon chalice
hot pink zoas
LOTR zoas 50+ polyps
and a few other things I will suprise everyone with.

Thanks alot I have some really cool things going on including the calcium reactor. Which I will be posting some pictures soon

I cant wait to get my corals back in the tank. Looks crazy with nothing.

I also made some new gurgle buster drains and let me tell you its SILENT....... I will have to raise the skimmer up about 2 inches though just a little deep in the sump, because its skimming really wet.

Dang, that thing is sweet. looks like the skimmer just barely slid in. I like the idea of putting the return pump on eggcrate. Also may I cut you another overflow cover, I like the adjustment of the loc-line coming out of the front opposed to the sides as well. It will have a better finished look. One more thing Will, how is flow in the sump with baffles set up the way they are.

Dont worry about the cover it might be a pain to change it. The flow in the sump is great just a little deep for the skimmer but we didnt talk about the skimmer depth when we put it together. I need to raise the skimmer up a little though. I love this thing its great.

What plans did you use for your gurgle buster. I googled and got this:

I am not sure how I would set this up on a stand pipe though.

Should be easy, post a thread with a picture of what you have. I did use that link for mine as well. Ive used it in a larger fashion for my 180 and now he normal size for th cube. My cube has the dual gurgle buster and is completely silent. 1'' drain pipe.....

I think you need a bigger skimmer!:D Look great Will.

Where is that fancy Ca reactor gonna go?

I figured a big skimmer would do the job. Im going to make a shelf for the calcium reactor maybe like a drawer that pulls out....

I just got the skimmer hooked up and the tank is cooling down a little. I would like to keep it at 78 degrees all yr round.. Next is the light. Ihave to get a base for it set on then Im going to hang it...

Wow! With that skimmer under there it is absolutely gorgeous (not to mention you'll sleep soooo much better with it under that tank)
So what's the stock list? Are you thinking wrasse heaven?:D

I honestly dont know yet maybe some anthia's or sissortail dart fish, or something just not sure....

Heres a little update on the tank. Just got the light up with the little a little scrap wood laying around for now. I plan on doing something a little nicer soon.
