New guy saying hello

Hi all,

Just wanted to say hello. I'm currently looking for a nice nano setup, but run a 12gal Marineland Eclipse with a couple of live plants, and an Orange Oranda "Hoover" and an unnamed red fantail GF. The tank has been running for about a month and a half and I learn something new everyday from it.

I think a lot of us have started with freshwater and moved on to keeping reef tanks. Nice set-up with the oranda and fantail.

This is the perfect way to start a reef tank -- the guys & gals here are great!

Hope you can make it to our next meeting -- they're on the second Tuesday of each month at 7, and are a great way to get started with frags of various kinds and free stuff (like chaetomorpha macro algae for your fuge, if you are going to run one)

Thanks for all the kind responses and its good to be here.

Dawgdude, to answer your question about lighting, I expect I'll stick with soft corals and stock lighting to begin with and potentially upgrade to MH in the future. As for size, I like the Biocube 14 and would love to find an established one gently cared for locally.

Also, BTW the wife and I are long time UGA fans and have a 2 year old bulldog which goes back to UGA V and UGA IV..Archie

Indeed, and thanks for the help. I decided on a Biocube 14 and will hopefully get it sometime next week. If anyone has any good links on the best way to set it up in stock configuration please send them my way!
