Hey y'all, I am from south Fayette county and am starting my first reef tank. At this point I am just gather all the equipment to get everything I want. Lots to learn and do.

Welcome, keep your arms and legs inside and enjoy the ride.

Welcome to the community. Post pics and ask lots of questions. We're all here for you in your time of need, because you will have many of those. Lol. We all do.

Here is the stand for the tank, all shelves angle back and the sumo will be in the basement for the reef build. Tank was setup at a fresh water for two years. We moved to our hopefully long time home and know want to setup a reef. Last night a friend bought my tank and will be picking up a new 90 gallon Aqueon RR. Here

Also I am building a new canopy for the reef, don't know how high to go is my biggest issue, I do plan on running Radion XR15w G4 Pro x2, and I am looking at what all I need for a apex setup.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I'm pretty new to reef tanks myself. I did as Amy suggested and took it slow and I think that's the best advice. Also read, read and then read some more.

On the canopy hopefully someone with experience with Radions will chime in but I would think you'd want around 14" or so from the bottom of the light to the top of tank. This will give you some room to adjust the height of the light.
