New here

Thanks, Brett for the advice.

Based on the 20's measurements, there's space for it to fit, just not enough room to get it in without removing the top, back, or bottom brace. I think 10gal would be too small for the sump though (I just cracked it at the top anyway, dang it!! repairable??)

Would it be a bad idea to take off the middle back brace and then replace it to get the sump in? If I do remove it, I could use that opportunity to put something down as a shelf in the stand because it's open at the bottom. Hmm.

The stand is going to get repainted with a high gloss black and I'm going to paint the back of the tank.

I never understood why people put sunken pirate ships in a F/W tank. Seriously though, nice booty. (pun intended)

I'd skip the air pump - not necessary and makes a salt creep mess.

I had one going for quite a while and yes it makes quite the salt creep mess. And all it was doing powering a treasure chest. Though it was quite cool, I ended up pulling it out.

As for O2 exchange, with a protein skimmer, that'll be the major source of O2.
