Has anyone seen it in person? I have seen a couple of photos and it looks pretty nice. I ordered mine today and was wondering if any local stores have it in stock?

It actually looks like a little bit of a mix between a strawberry shortcake and a pearlberry with whiter/lighter branches than most shortcakes that I have seen.

It is an interesting looking morph of shortcake.

Looks pretty sharp

I have something like that I bought as a frag of a wild aussie strawberry shortcake type colony from SEA. I'll try to post a pic after lights come on. The shortcake name, however, has gotten pretty generic IMO right now, like the Dragon name.

Scott Fellman from Unique Corals. Good guy and a good site. Shipping today. Big fan of ORA and looking forward to the new corals.

I agree fully with the name being pretty generic. I just have really good luck with ORA stuff being pretty tough so I am happy to take a shot at it. I also have a DFS shortcake that came in very brown but is just now starting to color up so it will be interesting how the two do in comparison. ORA actually got the mother colony from liveaquaria so it very well could be from the same mother colony and both are harvesting it.

I like ORA corals as well. Seems our local stores are not carrying ORA frags any more. There were lots of them available locally several years ago. I wonder if that is because so many ORA varieties are in private hands now and are available from other reefers?

I just got a frag of Drs Foster Smith Pink Diamonds acropora couple weeks ago. Looks good on the website.

Here is the shortcake type I have I thought looked like the new ORA coral. Tried to get as close as possible with my plain point and shoot. Colony is about 8" x 6".

That is a nice looking colony. How long have you had it? Seems to grow pretty quickly. I still need to come up there and visit your tank. I looked at the pink diamond coral as well. I will be interested to see how it does. Thanks for sharing the pictures. I will post a picture when it arrives.

I think I've had it for about 18-20 months. It was a decent size branch when I got it. I had Jeremy cut me off a big chunk. But yes, it has grown a lot. Did well under LEDs and now well under halides.

The Pink Diamond is a nice acro, but it was white when I got it. I posted a thread in the SPS section on Reef Central asking to see some grown colonies or something larger than a frag, and I got no replies with pictures, so maybe this is a new coral for F&S? Still coloring up.
