Can you over feed one? :unsure: Or will they only eat what they want? I just got my carpet on Saturday. It likes to eat.:wow2:

Ya, IMHO you can overfeed one. What will happen is he will take the food in (lets says shrimp) and then after some time spit a have digested blob out the is just some pretty nasty junk. Most nems do not need much food. I got great growth from good lights and feeding about 1/4-1/2 a shrimp once to twice a week.

Does it depend on how big the nem is to how much they eat? Also when you say how big one is is it from around the base or around the top?

I thought it's "spit" nasty goop is normal-no matter how much you feedit-it's just getting rid of its waste
