New Reefer - What is this freeloader? Tunicate?

I just added my first corals to my tank and noticed this guy attached to the base of my Fox Coral. Is this a tunicate and can it stay?

thanks for the help. Now that I have that figured out posting pics of the tank should be easy
 
looks like a chili coral stump or something i cant tell what it is, put it in your mouth and see if it taste like chili lol j.k. dont do that
 
Thanks for the replies, I know it is alive, the ends that looks like a spout( there are at least three on this thing) will close into the body when disturbed by a snail or crab as well as when it picks up vibrations from people walking by the tank. And they close quick.
