Hello everyone, nice to "meet" you all!

Just getting into this hobby after doing a lot of research. Currently have a 29g Biocube that's cycling with some dry live marco rock in it from BRS. I added bacterial starter and have been feeding ammonia, no corals or fish in tank at all.

Also a question - I think it's Coralline algae that make the beautiful purple on live rocks.
Does anyone having any purple live rock they would be willing to part with (Not for free, I'm more than willing to pay!) Or, know a LFS that sells any?

And if not - has anyone had success with Coralline Algae in a Bottle from ARC reef? I know I'm not ready to add it yet, but just wanted to see what the forum thought of it. I've read some reports that it worked quickly (8 weeks or so) and some that said it did nothing at all.

Again, nice to meet everyone, I'm excited!!

Welcome! There are a few members that will scrape some Coraline algae for you. I have limpets that eat most of mine.

When your tank is cycled and ready for coral swing on up to Duluth and I'll have a frag or two for you.

A covered rock or scrapings will spread very quickly if tank has right conditions. Looks pretty but it’s a pain, soaks up elements as much as coral.

Hello and welcome to the play ground!

As for coralline, dont get to caught up in seeding and such. It will come but the tank needs to mature first and spending money on bottle seeding I feel is not necessary. I did just that, and got some from others and it still took another 6 months before I started seeing any grow in my tanks.
