Hello all I am starting to save money and build store credit to setup a large tank I got my wife to agree to a 6' tank what I am trying to decide is what the other dimensions should be I'm kinda bouncing back and forth between a 180 or a 250 any input welcome

My choice between a 90g and 120g came down to where it was going to go. In our living room, that extra 6" of tank jutting out into the room was just too much.

Here is something that will help you make up you mind. 6ft is great, thats what i got.Went 24" tall and 24" wide.I wanted to go 36"wide or 27" tall. But the W/C would have been to much on me.As it is, 180 tank,With it being full of sps,Got to do a 30 gal W/C bi weekly.

I plan on it being a mixed reef I like the look of it in my nano so I just want to scale it up and be able to add larger fish gotta have me some tangs haha

I have a 6' long 125 for sale if interested.

I know you all think I have no heart but now I have an ultrasound to prove it. :-)

I would stay 24 inches deep. If you go much deeper you cannot reach bottom. I have a 210 that is 29 inches deep and I cannot reach bottom even with small step ladder. Tongs are not fun. If I had it to do over I would have gotten a 180.

Well if I went with 30" deep I would probably add a DSB to help keep everything in reach
And I am working for store credit at my LFS to afford the tank otherwise this build would not be possible
