I am fixing to setup a 50gallon cube and was wondering what size return pump would be good to use as far as gph. Also would an mp10 be sufficient or should I get an mp40? Thanks for the help.

Is it a single return or multiple? There's a calculator on reef central I believe for determining return pump size. You might look into a wp-25 for water circulation, it's a cheaper Chinese knock off that's just now coming out, a Mp-10 might be enough though

Depends on what kind of corals you're wanting to keep, but a WP10 seems like it would probably be enough even for SPS. You could always supplement with a small powerhead to hit any low-flow spots if you needed to.

It is a single return. I think the way it was drilled is two larger holes on either side of a smaller hole( Herbie maybe). Wanting to keep every kind of coral sps mainly.

yea sounds like its drilled for a herbie id find a pump that will do at least 500 gallons per hour (GPH) at the head height that your tank will be when its on the stand.
