Hello everyone,

I just got home from a wonderful visit to Imagine Ocean and meeting Jenn. I didn't even know about the ARC until she told me. I came home and joined right away. My boyfriend (Mark) and I have a 130gal reef tank that is about 6 months old. We have just a couple pieces of live rock, several of base rock, coral beauty, fiji clown, damsels, clown goby, a couple of hermit crabs, snails and several corals (candy, polyps, zoos, mushrooms). We are building this very slowly and learning as much as we can as we go. Looking forward to learning more.

Welcome to ARC, Georgia & Mark!

It was a pleasure meeting you today!

Hey Jenn,

My tree came right out once I put it in the tank. My green stars are finally starting to peek out and make sure everything is ok. We got the biggest laugh when we got home. Remember you were telling us how mean your fiji clown was.... well I was rearranging the stuff in the tank and my fiji, for the first time, started attacking my arm. I mean he was hitting hard too. I laughed so hard, it was the wildest thing. As many times as I've had my hand in there and he's never done anything. Now he thinks he owns the whole right side. I told him he won't be laughing once I thumped him one good time (joke of course).

It was great meeting you today as well.

He's probably a "she"... they all begin as male but the dominant one in a pair or group makes the switch and becomes female. A lone specimen usually changes too.

Once they do that they get mean and territorial. That one in our nano gets agitated when somebody stands in front of his tank, and my pair of Ocellaris in the coral tank back by the sink, take a piece out of me every time I work in "their" tank.

Gotta love clowns - but they are rotten little things.

Glad the corals are opening nicely :)

Welcome to the club! :)

You're off to a great start... just by talking to Jenn. She and Imagine Ocean are great!

Welcome, great group of people with A LOT of experience and knowledge are here. Unfortunately I'm not one of 'em.

Welcome, you are now required to meet the rest of the crew in your area.
I think it's in the bylaws or something. :)

And kudos to you on your statement of "starting slow and learning". Best plan ever.
