In think how long the fish or corals are in bags during shipping. I think they'll be fine for a two hour drive. I'm always down to ride to atlanta and would be more then glad to show you around the great sponsors!

gcgrad;617754 wrote: a yellow tang they were asking $35 for looked a little on the slim side and had a white growth near its tail. Ich maybe? The store policy is 24 hour returns, that may be common practice. If the fish dies within that time then you have to bring the fish and a sample of the water. If the water checks out then you get store credit. They place their orders on Thurs and they arrive on Fri. So if I were to place an order I would pick it up on Fri. I figure the less time they have with it the better. I won't buy anything from them that they have had for an extended amount of time. Anyone else follow these guidelines when purchasing fish locally?

also, you can ask to buy it right in the bag...so it never touches their system and less stress

I passed up a BEATUFIL powder brown tang for $22.00. I had never owned a tang at the time.
I saw his scalpel, and not knowing what it was, thought it was injured.
End embarassing story.

Tiffany was very nice, livestock looked great and prices were good.
DO NOT GO if you are afraid of dogs! (Or mooses)

Well I checked out the local pet store in Macon and they had a large saltwater section than I thought. I also talked to the guy maintaining the tanks. Apparently he started working there 2 months ago and the saltwater area was full of dead fish and had poor maintenance. Since then it looks like he's had a significant turnaround. The tanks look good and the fish look healthy. I talked to him for over an hour and he seems pretty knowledgeable. They order from Sun Pets in Atlanta on Thurs and the shipment comes Fri morning. Anyone do business with Sun Pets?gcgrad;617817 wrote: Ha. I have to see this dog now!:lol2:
