New to the hobby

New member here so I just wanted to say hey! I've had a few freshwater tanks but this will be the first saltwater. Already purchased a 125 gal that I want to start with. I'm progressing slowly but I don't see a problem with taking my time

I'm in the middle GA area and would like to know who else is close by? Just in case you have anything to sell or have advice on the best place to buy locally.

Welcome to the club. Taking it slow is a good thing. Do lots of research before you act or spend. You will be glad you did.

There are several great members in your neck of the woods. JB, Butch, WannabeReefKeeper and a few others.

Thanks for the welcome Rich, I was actually following your 120 build thread! All I've been doing the past few months is reading and asking questions, and I still feel like I don't know anything. That's also why I wanted the local contacts, since it's always good to have friends who know what's going on, haha!

Sounds like you are off to a good start, research and asking questions will save you a lot of heartache.
I think you will find members here to be quick to offer assistance if needed, and a great source of information. Patience and persistence go a long way in this hobby. God knows it has done wonders for me in regards to patience...lol.

welcome to the club buddy. i live just as far from atlanta as you do but you have a few more reefers around than i do lol. most of the questions you will have have probably been asked before so your answer could probably be easily found in the archives. but if you cant seem to find it or want the answer expanded on, feel free to ask, most of us are on the site on a daily or semi daily basis and are always glad to help out.
