Greetings,

A newb here starting on my first SW pico. I'm in Woodstock with a small pico in its first cycle. More to follow after I get the CUC in tomorrow. How's it going Thiago?

:welcome: the the forums! we are all vats of knowledge and are willing to share

Thanks! I am a vacuum of knowledge so beware, I may ask many questions. I will, however, search first to avoid the redundant "why are all my rocks covered by brown "stuff"?", etc. Thanks for the welcome.

remember, there aren't any stupid questions....just stupid people, j/k.

we all stared at the ground level at some point

I went ahead and joined up! Looks like a very worthwhile investment. How do I provide my mailing address for the card?

Welcome. I like your aquascaping. It looks like it is going to be a nice lil tank

It looks like you have some organic floating on the top of the water. You might want to see if you can mod your filter to draw water off the surface instead of several inches below the surface. The way it is now, the filter will never suck up that waste.

Good luck and welcome!

Thanks for the welcome and encouragament! That filter is the woefully inadequate HOB that came with the tank. I have a piece of LR, a sponge filter, and a small bag of carbon pellets in it. Some folks have suggested an AC unit with LR and chaeto, I just don't have that setup yet. At 5+ weeks in, levels are settled and my WC weekly seems to be effective. I may be close to putting something more than CUC in it. Suggestionsare always appreciated?

Welcome. Beyond the great wealth of knowledge you can get from other members, one of the best perks of being in the club is seeing a lot of member tanks for free. Some tanks are just spectacular and a treat each time I visit a new one.

Mufret's basement alone is worth seeing just for the sheer amount of killer equipment.

Mike's basement reminds me of that scene in starwars where they rescue C3PO for demolition... :)

I work behind the Wendy's at Trickum and 92. Live about 3 miles from there in Cobb. You?
