From what I have heard the blue throat is the most likely to be reef safe. On the other end I have heard the Niger is the least likely.

Lol. I love the clown, but its a beast and should be in a tank by itself. My triggers are like puppies. They come to the glass and flutter their fins quickly as they beg for food everytime I pass by the tank.

Mike. What's that trigger doing now? How is it doing with the other fish?

Gotta agree about the blue throat. Mine are model citizens as well. I've heard some bad reports about nigers but have seen many in reefs with no issues.

Ok so I am reading that most eat small fish. How small are the talking? Firefish size? Clown fish?

I have a neon goby (less than an inch) and 2 freshwater mollies in my tank that have never been bothered by either of my triggers.

Mmmmm. Now you have the wheels spinning. My wife is gonna love you... Sorry to hijack the thread.

I would be interested Cedz.....LOL...doing maintance tomorrow.

He is doing great. As found the sweet spot of where I feed everyone and him and the puffer are big buddies. He is not bullying anyone. He loves to play with everyone.

Go for it. The only hint of concern I see is at feeding time. They are good at eating all of the food before other fish can get to it. Just feed shrimp at one side and pellets at the other.
