Can I turn a standard non drilled tank with canister filter into a sump tank without drilling it ??? Or do I just get a new tank and transfer everything before it gets too full of stuff ???

I'm not sure what you're asking but any tank can be a sump. All a sump is, is a place for additional water volume, any extra equipment like heaters, skimmers, reactors, etc. to be housed without having it in the display. The fancy pre-fab sumps just have additional walls to guide the flow of the water typically from display to filters, then separated chambers for different usages, such as skimmer water height, etc. So, feel free to use a generic tank as a sump. You can just toss rock in there and a return pump if you'd like.

I guess I should have worded it better I have a tank that uses a canister filter can I adapt it to use a sump instead of the canister without drilling it

You definitely can. They sell pre-made hang-on-back overflows, and there are several videos on YouTube for making your own. They have some very meaningful potential downsides, though. Read the reviews of the products and watch some videos, and see what you think.

Individual products have downfalls or a hang on the back overflow in general have issues ?

My opinion but I would just transition to a drilled tank. It will save you much headache and worry long term. Seems like it’s an option for you and that you may be in this hobby for the long haul so I say go for it! You won’t regret it.

It's definitely an option I'll just hit marketplace or something as the tank I have now is not drilled and can't get a "new" tank til the new house but an upgrade isn't new 🤣

I say just go ahead with the drilled tank or stay with the canister. Drilled tank will save you the headache in stress down the road.
