Ok so I can home from the meeting and floated my frags and heard my top off pump sucking air. Come to find out that I'm only about 2in above my return section in my skimmer. I won't be able to get water until 2 tomorrow cause of classes. Would it be ok if I "primed" a little water until then??

pick the best of two evils and then go for it.

If your TDS isn't too high, you would probably be fine

Well no TDS meter to determine what its is so i'm kinda SOL on that front.

How many gallons you think you'd have to put in? My last tank I used nothing but tap. TDS was about 55ppms and hardly ever an issue. I moved and the water quailty is so bad my son doesn't even wat to bathe in it at times, so I probably would use this water.

Ok now I just had a genius Idea could i just turn off my sump and put a heater in the display? would my vortech and 2 maxi-jets produce enough O2 exchange???

It was great seeing you at the meeting, Colin.

Seems like from the water department reports that Kennesaw's water is slightly better than, say, Acworth's tap water. ;)

I can't drive cause I'm still recovering from surgery and everyone else is asleep.

well tell them to wake up it's an emergency lol

oh and if this is the 60 gallon tank from your sig then a gallon or two of tapwater isn't going to hurt anything. just don't make a habit of it.

Tap water here is only about 40 TDS, so it's not THAT bad. Just use a gallon or two to get you through the night.

There's just been one Tunze in my display for a year. All the fish are fine. And a heater.
