noises comming from the tank

florescent bulbs can make a sound with age or if they're getting poor contact. Try to twist the bulbs inside their fittings just a hair. see if that helps.

My old icecap ballast did this before it gave and died. No idea what causes it, but it can happen with electronic ballasts. Might want to start figuring out what you'll do when it goes. Mine ran for a few months doing that, so it may not die real soon, but the noise is obnoxious.

Did you actually unplug everything on your tank or is your waterbed getting cold?:confused2:

it would be easier to unplug everything at once. If the noise is gone, plug in each part one at a time until you hear the noise. OR, take your meds.
