nooooo :(

If it's Seachem buffer it should be mixed with RO, not tank water, for what it's worth.

[I]ive kept a porcupine puffer successfully for 4 years in a 30 gallon. Get them as babies and you can keep them in any size tank you want. Eventually after years they would need to be moved. But that happens when it happens.

That can be done, but there is a right way and a wrong way of taking care of your fish. I don't think a puffer in a 30 gallon for 4 years is fair to the fish. I have passed up some screaming deals on fish I wanted but not enough tank to keep them in and I have a 150 gallon. Hope you find the problem and solve it?

What's there to be confused about? Its quite simple... When puffers are born they are very small. If you don't have a large tank but u want a puffer then get a baby. It takes them years to grow. It's really annoying when people tell u what u can and can't have in your tank. My puffer that I had in the 30 was very happy and had plenty of room to swim around in. (Because he was small.) I know he was happy and healthy because he never once blew up that I saw. Whenever I would come to the tank he would follow me from side to side. He ate like a champ.. spit water at me to get my attention, etc. As far as puffers go I know what I'm talking about. I figured out why mine died, because I was careless and wasn't paying attention.

See above post. Thanks for the hope, im not trying to sound like a jerk though it may seem that way. Just tired of people telling me what I can and can't have due to tank size. I understand that people are entitled to their opinions but that's all they are.. opinions. Bo one on here agrees about everything. That being said, we all can just disregard this thread there is no need for it anymore.

I think very few of us here would disagree with a lion and a porc puffer in a 30 gal. Just from a waste production standpoint alone a 30 is too small for many of us to consider housing these specimens in.

Didn't want to cause any hard feeling. As stated, it can be done, just isn't always far to the fish. The way I look at it, a family of 5 will fit in a 2 bedroom/ 1 bath house, but add another bath/bed room and it makes things a lot more comfortable for the family. All can be fat and happy. That's all.
