BUT, I thought this was interesting. Started noticing these within the last two weeks or so. Way to small to even describe, and can only tell they are there when all pumps are off. The are attracted to the light, and come out of the woodwork to get nearer when the water gets still.

Yes, that is DS9 in the background, ignore it.

Edit: Hope the video can be viewed, let me know if it can't.

Brine shrimp???

Found this in my tank one day while doing a water change while all pumps were off. I added brine shrimp back in September or October before my crash, and thought they were all eaten, but there are still some in the water column obviously now, even. Can't see them until all of the water is motionless, then there are hundreds...

Edit: Can't tell from the videos, but, in person, you have to look closely and you'll see the baby brine shrimp...

Click on the title of the video if the box doesn't work...

Edit: Never added brine shrimp. No idea where the came from or what they are.

You got it! No sample?

Brine shrimp don't occur in saltwater tanks (they may survive a while if introduced to one).

There are many types of arthropods that do occur and hitch a ride in on live rock. That's probably what both of you have.
