You'll have to use smaller words and maybe some pictures if you want him to understand

Come on lets not feed into him. People like this need to be ignored its obvious its a child.

I am not saying it's undeserved, but I thought we had a zero tolerance policy on personal attacks. There are at least a couple in this thread, one by a moderator.

I think this illustrates what has come to frustrate some of our members: bias in the enforcement of rules.

We do have such a policy and there's zero bias, I can assure you. I know I've had quite a few posts moderated over the years. I don't think my post was an inappropriate response to a racist, but if you feel it is, please report it and the mod corps will handle it appropriately. Any mod's post can be flagged the same as anyone else's and that particular mod will have no say in any decision the mod corps makes (just and fyi). 99% of moderated posts are reported by the member base. Contrary to popular belief, mods aren't actively monitoring every post and it's close to impossible to catch everything.

:)

Noted... I flagged the personal attacks. I guess we'll see what happens.

I try to recognize the frustration that must come with volunteering for this organization. I know it's there, and the moderators are usually at the front of the line when it comes to who recieves criticism.

Quite frankly, however, those jobs shouldn't be given to those who can't represent the club in a professional manner.

Mods do take a beating, but they should act professionaly and I think they do 99.9% of the time. But, mods are people too, so they will show a non-robotic side from time to time. And I wouldn't go so far as calling it a job. Not sure what I'd call it, but job seems like the wrong description. Semantics, though, eh?

Also, racism isn't going to be received well by anybody. A homophobic, antisemitic, or bigoted remark would've garnered an immediate response by most also, especially by those who have been on the receiving end. But, your point is does that excuse a club rep? Should the club rep turn the other cheek and let the system take care of the offender without responding back rudely? Probably, yes.

Nonetheless, I appreciate your comments and the way you presented yourself. I wish more online interactions could be like this.
