Hey guys I just purchased this new set up and have live sand and aquarium water + refugium light i was wondering if any of yall have ever set this up, I can't really figure out how to set up the refugium, do I just throw a bunch of sand over the plastic catch and put live rock and cheato or is there more to that? It is more efficient to have cheato or to have a media filter with floss and whatever else?

I have the 29 HQI and pulled the floor out of the center chamber and got an Intank Media Basket and fuge basket for the space and they work great. Not sure if the fuge basket was absolutely necessary, but it keeps the cheato off the floor of the fuge and was not that expensive and I figured I would just go with their whole system. I have a ball of cheato on the fuge side and filter floss, Purigen and Chemi Pure Elite in the media basket.
