I have a pair of Ocellaris I purchased as regular ones. They were in the same tank at the shop, but one was noticeably bigger and brighter orange, the smaller was was a pretty red/orange. The smaller one has shifted its color to almost a deep maroon/black over the top 3/4 of his body. Its not the dark black you see marketed, but its still quite the contrast and is a very pretty fish. Is it common to have such color change or did the recessive genetics just luck in my favor? I'd post a pic but my camera broke.

is it common for a percula to swim around with a ocellaris? They never stray too far from each other.

Clowns will sometimes pair up with different species, more common than u think.

My main breeder pair are two different colors the male is a bright red/orange female is more tangarine for no where as bright. I too have wondered about this

its a pain how addicting clowns are, not to mention the rest of the hobby. I'd love to expand my types and even try breeding in a few years, but I need to own a home rather than living in an apartment in order to do the plumbing I want.

I plan on getting a pair of widebands latz soon. Clowns are very addicting
