LONG DAY.. in front of a lot of people ... stressed... my mind is GOOLOSH

I'm trying to figure out how much interceptor i need to treat roughly 140g of water.

What I'm reading is that I need 25mg of powder (crushed tablet) for every 10 gallons.

so... I figure

What is confusing me is that the same read states that one of the big tablets in the pack of 6 will treat up to 380gallons of water....

ok.. why is this not adding up.. ?!!

I'm going about this all wrong and my brain has QUIT.

It's not just you. It doesn't make sense.

C&P:Red Bug Treatment Basics:
It is commonly agreed on, that a large tablet of Interceptor will adequately treat about 380 &#8211; 400 gallon or aquarium water. And although this is sometimes difficult to estimate, do your best, taking into account variables such as your sump, Calcium Reactor, Protein skimmer, refugium, and the amount of rock you have. It has been found that 25mg of Interceptor per 10 gallons of aquarium water is the appropriate dosage for killing red bugs. Since Interceptor can negatively effect crabs and shrimp, you should remove them from your system for the length of the treatment. Please make sure to remove the air feed to your protein skimmer, so that it continues to run, but does not skim. Please also remove any carbon you have running in the system, and turn off Ozone and UV sterilizers. It is important that EVERY part of your system comes in contact with Interceptor, so if you turn off your GFO and Carbon reactors, please dispose of the water and replace with clean saltwater when turned back on.</em>

In the picture,it shows a 23 mg tablet as the example for what one large tablet is.
So do you need less than one tablet, or roughly 14-15 tablets?

Dogs 2-10 lbs (brown package) 2.3 treats 38 gallons
Dogs 11-25 lbs (green package) 5.75 mg treats 95 gallons
Dogs 26-50 lbs (yellow package) 11.5 mg treats 190 gallons
Dogs 51-100 mg (blue package) 23 mg treats 380 gallons


do 2 treatments! I did one treatment a few times and I always got the bugs back....7-10 days later....easy....even if u believe that they have only live babies...fyi.

Your vet......Interceptor is a flea treatment for dogs.

wow, i thought interceptor stopped production. News to me! I check with my vet about 5 months ago and they only had one tablet left.
