I put a few small frags of Xenia pulsing Xenia in my tank yesterday.( Thanks Well, today they are gone? I only have clownfish, a Hippo Tang, a peppermint shrimp, and a cleaner shrimp. So who is the likely culprit?
My bet, if I had to choose, is the peppermint shrimp. They won’t usually go after polyps; but are nonetheless voracious little critters that typically go after anemones (potentially aiptasia, rock/flower nems, anything weak or injured).
They are also close relatives to camel shrimp, which bear strikingly similar appearance, and are known predators of a wide variety of soft corals.
Agreed! Middle of the night, home from a flight, and my brain isn’t working. It probably just detached. If it was attacked by the shrimp, you would see a slimy blob-like mess of what’s left.

Thanks. I am thinking the peppermint shrimp is the culprit. I could see one or even two frags coming unglued, but not all three of them. Plus one of the frag disks was laying on the bottom when I had placed it up near the top. I guess I will have to keep an eye out for this little fellow. Hope he doesn't try eating my other corals!
