That makes since to me.
I heard about the caustic effects of freshly mixed saltwater was from a importer/Marine biologist guy. He was talking about the burning of the gills of fish. I'm not sure if this was his opinion or if their was some science to back that up. It easy enough just to stay on the safe side of this issue. Ill look into this a little more.
