I've heard that they are a sign of health in a system. The one rock I got from Mark was loaded down with worms. Its a very porus rock, about 2 to 3 pounds total, but I've never seen so many worms in one rock....... And a gorilla crab as well. I'm guessing this was way down in his substrate as it was one of the last pieces vsold

Your probably right. Don't worry too much about the bristles except when diving in the sand without hand protection...the bristles are what will get you and they stick good! The crab on the other hand I would probably not want.
