One of the best reef tanks I ever seen.

I'll help you out!

Be careful what you ask for. I have abandoned the old "ban stick" way, and developed a new "ban BOOT". I roll heavy.

OK back on topic. Jeremy, since you have sps and large angels, do they pick on your corals very much, or do you feed the heck out of them so they don't?

The pick occasionally, but do little to no damage. Butterflies are a little worse, but still not that bad. My PE isnt very evident in the day at all, but its not a problem for SPS. In the wild, SPS colonies keep their polyps locked up during the day too, so its completely natural for them to do so. Somewhere along the line, it was "deemed" that SPS that had huge hairy bushy polyps were healthy, and if they didnt, they werent. Just aint true. Also, naturally, the more you feed, the less likely theyll pick, but IMO, it is a force that cant be stopped. Coral slime is tasty.

I am planning to do the same thing... some say the yellow tang is the quintessential marine fish; I think a large-ish reef tank just NEEDS at least one large angelfish. If it nips corals, then it just nips corals. Once I have my incredibly, stupidly oversized skimmer running I won't be afraid to overfeed (unlike now).

I had a Goldflake for 8 months in my 210, and he was a great citizen. I had Tim at Keen Reef sell him for me, and he turned into a Zoa eating fiend in the ARC Member's tank he ended up in.

I had a chrysurus that I had in my reef for over a year that the went to Simon, and murdered his corals after never even looking at mine. What softies? Typically, they are a bit more noxious, and usually a better fit, but there is no guarantee.
