I've looked at:

Liveaquaria,saltwaterfish,mysaltwaterfishstore,yourfishstore,marinefishez.

Are there any other sites I should look at? And I'd like to hear from anyone who has used these or other sites.

I've used Saltwaterfish twice for my CUC's and don't have any complaints. I've always heard great things about liveaquaria.

I'd steer clear of Reefs2go if you come by them. I've ordered there twice because the low prices, both times 1/4 of the shipment didn't make it.

Seems like saltwaterfish has certain deals that are watching better than others. Sometimes they give free hippo tangs etc

Yeah they always have good deals. $60 freeshipping pack etc, but you have to order a lot. That's why hooking up with a buddy to order online is always beneficial.

Good idea. Any other sites you may recommend?

Many of our sponsors have very healthy choices that have been in their tanks for while. I've ordered online and in person and I feel the fish are less stressed and I can see them eat before I take them home. Just a thought.

I support the LFS. But I have been interested in ordering online as well, pricing doesn't have as much markup and they have much wider selections. Some offer 14 day guarantees as well. I thought it was worth looking into.

I agree, I'd just stick to ordering coral and CUC online

I have used NYAquatic and it was a great experience. Awesome selection and prices. My skeletor eel showed up in perfect condition and has been thriving in my tank. Also very quick responses through email, Facebook, or by phone.

i've always used liveaquaria.com
they have great deals and a great money back guarantee if things go wrong.

About a year ago I would have been right there with you. But now, after hearing many horror stories about sick fish, corals with pests. They do have good customer service for the ones die.But its not worth the lost of your animal that you paid for shipping.

Liveaquaria's Divers Den section. They go through a full QT before they get shipped to you. Your chances of getting a fish with issues are much less.

The prices on Caribbean stuff from Diver Tom or MySaltwaterFishStore are great since they collect themselves. I've ordered from them before, but remember you'll be getting fish straight from the wild with all the issues that might entail. You absolutely need to QT them and treat them for the most common issues.

Recently had VERY VERY BAD experience with LA. They REALLY screwed up which caused me and others tons of time and work!

In defense, they did (with asking) credit my card back for entire order!!
However it still didn't compensat for my time....
FTI
If you order from them and loose fish within two weeks you have three options.
1. Credit back to card.
2. One free reship...
3. Credit on future order.

No brainer, credit my card!
I didn't know this the first time I ordered and only ordered again to use my credit on account....
Both times I ordered fish and they had major parasites, diseases and flukes which I saved some with medication but some were DOA and others died within 24 hours with major visual signs of illness...

My preferences is hold out for memer getting out, usually fish are healthy and no need to QT...
Or use one of our wonderful LFS sponsors and get your discount (only the wonderful ones, not all are equal)!

IMHO, not really!
Too much loss in time....

As stated above Divers Den Not LA site but no personal experience with them just positive feedback as above.

If the DON'T QT and treat prior to you getting them... I'd say 40% rate of the. Living. That's HORRIBLE for buyer and killing the fish!

I'd love to buy from the local stores, but after seeing fish with ich or other diseases and bags straight from the suppliers in their display cases, there's no way I'd put a fish from them in my tank. SEA was the only local store I would buy fish from, and now they are gone.

totally confused with everyone and there replies... but buying from local fish stores is no better, they order their fish and they get shipped just like you're getting shipped from LA. Honestly the biggest benefit of buying directly from LA is that extreme price differences.

Other people said time wasted? I mean you spent 2-3 minutes to place an order and unpacked it when it arrived. So you wasted like 10 minutes? I'm not exactly sure how that is wasted time. I guess others here just think differently than me lol...

Personally I see no benefit from buying locally, they provide crazy prices. My advice is if you ever do any business in Florida to just take the coral out of the water and wrap it up and put it in your suitcase when you fly back home. Should be completely fine and it's extremely cheap.

Or if you ever go to florida for business near the coast during a warm month you can always just go diving if you have time and rip out your own coral, i believe it's illegal, but a buddy of mine does that and he gets some huge colonies for free!
