Anyone know where I can find some real user reviews on these? I'm looking to possibly put (4) on a 8'x36''x30'' tank.

Take it you've decided against eshine units?

I just don't think it's feasible for a tank this size. Purplegorilla is running 4 units on his 200, of which the entire back half is rock work. I think I would be 12 units into them before I found the look I'm after. Great looking light, just not the spread i need unfortunately.

Make sense.

I'm still trying to figure out how many I'd need on my 180.. they say 4, I though 5 or 6.

Anyways, good luck! It seems that those that have used it, have utilized it more as EXTRA light rather than a stand alone light source. And like one of the guys on that thread indicated, the spectrum is what it is... not adjustable. Thats a lot to ask for $800.

Honestly, I think at the end of the day MH is probably my best route for this build :yuk:

Look up Sam Wetwork on Facebook. He's been using orphek on his latest projects.

i think blakejohn on ARC has LEDs on his big tank..u may want to ask him what he has...he has a build thread in reef discussion too
