Ok, stupid question but I have wondered this for a good while. Is there such thing as over stocking a tank? We have a 90 and so far we have a pair of clowns, solar wrasse, foxface, chalk bass, and a yellow watchman goby. We are going to add a Kole's tang, flame angel, and a diamond goby in the near future. Is that too many fish?

Destiny, as long as you stock slowly and do your weekly water changes you should be fine. Your tank will still be adding good bacteria as it ages. I don't considered my tanks fully ready for a full load until it is between 6-12 months. I believe this is why so many people loose livestock with no apparent reason(just my opinion). Water changes are important because "water dilutes the pollution" in ours tanks and adds the minerals that our corals need! The diamond goby is great as long as you don't plan on putting coral close to his burrow, he will cover them up or take them into his home for decorations. The Flame Angel is beautiful but if he doesn't get fed enough he will nip at yours Zoas. I have a Gold Flake that has been great but if I leave before the lights come on I put a clip of nori in for him and my two tangs. You are welcome to stop by the house sometime! Holley

We have been adding life slowly. We have started our biweekly water changes (which I hate lol) and it will be at least another two or three months before we add another fish. Everyone right now seems happy and healthy. Except the foxface but we just got her a few days ago. So shes still adjusting. We are waiting to add our nem. I just want to make sure the tank can handle that bio load because we dont want to lose anything. I am kinda attached to them now lol

Only had her a few days now. She roams when she thinks we can't see her and when we feed. She actually stays yellow now. So thats a good sign lol

Yes. Two different sources give a min tank size from 70-75 gal. I have a 90.

Well the tang will be in QT for almost four weeks when we get it. Because we know how prone to Ich they are. And we QT every thing but the coral (which we dip).

She will come around. It really took some time for my fox to fully get her colors growing. She will still show out if she gets upset about something kinda like my daughter . That's why her name is Sarah .
