Aquabuys has them on sale for $114.00. I talked with Sam about this light yesterday. He has one over a Nano and he said the growth and colors are outstanding. You can go to his site and scroll down ; click on "articles". Further down that page is a nice writeup about this bulb and how simple it is to use. Pics are included.

I do believe these are the screw in bulbs with everything internal. But I'm not for sure so many samples go thru my hands get them confused.

Yes, the do run off of a regular light socket... I had one (from nanotuners) on my pico tank about a year ago and really liked it. They are about $120 a piece, but did quite well for what I was using it for. I have been playing around with the idea of putting several on my new tank!

I got mine over the holidays when they were on sale for 88 bucks from nano tuners. Even if they are around the 112 price range they are worth it. No heat, you can keep sps, lps in the tank, they last way longer then any MH setup would. Its a win win. I would highly recommend this light setup for any nano tank.

got them last year . they are not good for the tank . i had to used them for the sump .

I have a grow panel over my 6g and it has 200 1w leds, so far the softies that I keep in the tank seem to be happy. I will report back later if and when things change.
