Out of town for two days. Came home and found an oval shaped, protruding spot on one of my clowns. Any one have an idea what this is and how to treat?

The clown acts fine and the other fish are clean.

I am by no means an expert, but I think clown are immune to nem stings.. It kinda looks like a bite to me.. Are there any other fish in the tank with him that may have bit him? Of course, I could be wrong.

Have no clue. But not a nem sting. looks like it was bit or "stabbed" some how...

aside from that... those are really some clear pics. What camera/lens you using?

hope all goes well

Canon EOS Rebel with stock EFS 18-55mm lense.

Live stock include: smaller clown, purple tang (3"), LN butterflyfish, small 6-line (2"), royal gamma (2.5"), firefish, walker's gobie, and a mandarin

The affected clown is 3".

Thoughts?

Looks like a tang slap....my tangs get at it every once in a while, and have cuts show up like that......any tangs in there??
