My wife purchased a pearly jawfish and its been doing great. I made sure to read up on its needs before we got it. I have the proper sized substrate and depth. When I woke up today I noticed my talk was cloudy and that he/she (don't know the sex) had moved from the burrows it made under some live rocks on the side of my tank and was digging a new one at the very front of my tank.

What would cause him to move?
Should I build it a burrows with some pvc?

Sometimes mine dig for days. They are still in the general area as always, but have moved every grain of sand. They really like the rubble to build with, so add some as a treat. The pvc will just get buried in the burrow.

Yep, the bluespot I had long ago moved three or four times before finally settling in. Just make sure your live rock can't fall on top of him as he digs.

Mine was settled. I came home after a doc appointment and noticed it looked a little stressed so I turned off the lights to calm it down. I am going to keep an eye on him and report back. Many thanks for your input.

I just checked on Sam (jawfish) and it looks kinda scared and now is in the back corner of the tank. I going to leave the lights off for the rest of the day.
