I ran him off trying to nab him, I have to wait and catch him again at a later time.. he actually ran down to my Tiger pistols hole , so I thought he was a Don Juan. But then he crawled out

You are going to have to go after him at night. Place some meat in an empty shell by the rock where he hangs out with all lights off. Turn the lights on in the middle of the night, and scoop quickly. You'll probably get a couple of hermits too, but, pretty sure the emerald will be on it.

appreciate the advice but I'm really not that worried about it, I don't really like that platy either! ..lol has about six inch singing tentacles on it...
