Just posted that I thought asterina's were eating my zoas and then I saw this (video attached).

I have a small zoa garden that sits on a piece of PVC in my sand bed. This video shows the side of the Pvc where I noticed these very small bugs running around. The bugs are reddish color. They look like chiggers. I googled red bugs and those seem different b/c they are actually yellowish and hit smooth skinned acros.

Any thoughts?

Looks like the only movement takes place on the left side of the pvc

Those are copepods. Harmless. Good for the tank, actually. Most carnivorous fish will munch on them.

Are you having problems with the Zoanthids?

I am having problems with zoas. As I mentioned in a different post, I also have an increased amount of asterina's that could be irritating them. I have seen numerous ones in the zoa garden. I did get a harlequin shrimp to cull the heard. Will see if that helps
